If I like the place and I'm on a fence between marks I usually go lower, but not this time because of the nice vibe.
Dropped it because of a recommendation for a late dinner.
Got myself a hoppy can of IPA, wings and chips.
Wings were really good, but I would love to have a couple of extra there. Shoestring chips should be crunchier and crispier to my taste, but the portion was really generous. IPA kicked in nicely as per recommendation of the guys at the bar.
The price followed my expectations, but my expectations were - going to a trendy place get prepared to be charged more. Beer, chips and wings rang up to $42.16.
The atmosphere is nice, but if you come with people on a late night you might need to yell, cause place is loud.
Bartenders and waiting stuff were friendly and looked like they cared, which is a big plus.
Will return again.
Went to Sydney for the weekend. We got some late lunch and the food was delicious and pretty good value. Would definitely come back.
Honestly the vibes are immaculate. You are first concerned to be directed to the alleyway, but continue up the stairs, I promise it is worth it. Imagine every crunchy crusty bar you've been in, the music is loud, the lights are low, but then you smell the chicken, and oh it smells good. You pick your way through to the bar and are faced with the choice of so many types of wings and beer, there is absolutely something for everyone here. Their wing Wednesdays? 10/10. Decor? a perfect bar-ish 10/10. Atmosphere? You know it's good. And if that hasn't convinced you, there are can crushers at every booth. Can recommend, will be back.
This place was great! It was a little hidden in a back alley but when we got there it was such a cool little place. I think it was great value for the plate of wings with chips, only $40 and 3 diff flavours. The flavours were all delicious!! And so fresh :) can’t wait to be back
I'm a vegetarian and thought to bring my friend who is from Canberra this place to finally try it.
The service was average. I was told that we didn't order the sweet potato fries so I went to order them and we got two anyway (fairly certain we paid for both). The fries were crispy which I loved to their credit.
The 2 sets of wings that I ordered for me were average. The chickenless chicken was dry and the cauliflower were better but nothing to write home about.
My friend said hers were pretty nice but we wouldn't go back.
Atmosphere was pumping so you did have to raise your voice to be heard.
Think it's more aimed for the carnivorous crowd but I was left with a pretty heavy stomach with not much to cut through all the fat I'd consumed 😂
Nice enough- whisky maple wings are the best. Chipotle are very spicy. Wednesday offer is one portion of wings half price for every drink purchased.
First time I came I though it maybe 3 stars, but having been to heaps of other wing places I found myself craving Wings and Tins so had to come back. The Portuguese Rub is 100% the best wings in Sydney.
Can prices are far too high for craft beer and you'll have to get used to the gross sticky table but I guess it's all part of the experience. Doom Juice is very hot but you'll live.
Gotta say, the place was a little difficult to find. Hidden behind a back alley, eventually found it thanks to Google Maps. The House Buffalo sauce was really delicious, but the chicken was a bit of a letdown because it came delivered to the table a little cold. The chips were nice and crisp. The flavouring was on point. Self-service water was cold which was refreshing.
Might reconsider visiting again? Don’t really see what all the hype was.
